We are a team of individuals aiming to promote awareness for depression in men through Motorsport.
Auckland
We are a team of individuals that together, hope to achieve enough support that will allow us to promote awareness for depression in men through Motorsport.
We aim to compete in the 24 hour Lemons race in March with a vehicle that will be sign written with appropriate graphics to promote our cause. Cost of the vehicle is low, due to rules requiring it to cost no more than $1000 (excluding safety items). We hope to raise enough funds to not only compete but also raise additional money to donate to The Mental Health Foundation which will help people with depression and prevent suicide.
We are team made of 6 individuals, who some have been victims of depression, and who want to help others with the same health issue. We all come from various backgrounds of business and mechanical engineering who have the skills to build the vehicle to a good standard and manage distribution of funding to ensure that vehicle costs are kept to a minimum resulting in more money raised for charity.
Funds will be used to finish preparing the vehicle for the 24hr lemons race event in March and to cover the entry fees, which are estimated to be around $4000 as we have the vehicle and some of the race preparation has been done with our own money, any proceeds from donations will go to The Mental Health Foundation.
Its important to note that all proceeds from the event (made from entrance fees) will go to support men's prostate cancer, so in theory you are donating to two causes.
