Blair's Top Surgery

Kia ora, my name is Blair, I am a 21 year old trans man living in Ōtautahi, New Zealand. I am a visual artist and I am involved in queer run events in my city.

This fundraiser is for the cost of top surgery within Christchurch, for me this represents a final step in obtaining a dream of mine: transitioning into a body that feels truly mine.

I have been raising money by selling art and merchandise at events (with the support of my local queers <3) and plan to do more fundraising like this in the future.

I have been restricting my chest in various ways since I was 12, I knew from this age that I was transgender, and that I wanted top surgery one day.

I have lived with gender dysphoria for such a long time and have not lived a day with my breasts without wanting to remove them.

I currently live with E cups that even with a chest binder and multiple layers of clothing are very noticeable and unable to avoid, I experience alot of physical back pain and soreness within the breast tissue, as well as mental discomfort and distress. my chest is a very large burden that I have to carry with me every day.

I wish I had the words to truly discribe how life changing this gender affirming surgery will be for me but I cannot in a 1,500 character limit.
