Blanket Bank

$330 donated
Given by 13 generous donors in one year

Any amount you can donate now will help us with the purchase of warm bedding for those in need.

The New Brighton Blanket Bank is a New Brighton Project initiative and was founded in 2012.

It is a project of giving and receiving, free from judgement, which relies on donations of warm bedding from the public.

In 2019 we gave out hundreds of items to support keeping families right across our city warm.

Many Christchurch homes are still insufficiently insulated and the cost of heating is not going down. We are committed to supporting anyone who can benefit from our service.

Given the COVID-19 situation, donations of used bedding to our Blanket Bank will be much more difficult to process.

This year monetary donations will be more important than ever.

With these donations we can purchase blankets, duvets etc to help us keep up with client requests.

For more information or if you would like to donate new or used bedding, please visit our website or contact us by email

Thank you for your support of this initiative. Lets work together to keep Christchurch warm.

Use of funds

All donations to ‘Give a Little’ will be put towards the purchase of warm bedding for clients.
