Raise funds for the volunteer guides to support Paul's Blind Kiwi Runner Goal

Canterbury

Paul Barclay is a totally blind runner. He lives in Christchurch and his goal is to be the 1st Blind Kiwi Runner to complete the Abbott World Major 6 Star Series.

He has completed the New York, Berlin, Boston and London marathon’s. That leaves the Chicago Marathon on 11 October 2026 and the Tokyo Marathon on 7 March 2027 to complete that goal.

As a totally blind runner, Paul relies on guides for both the training and the actual marathons. These dedicated volunteer guides generously give up their time and take time off work to support Paul to prepare for, get to and run these overseas Marathons.

To make this goal a reality, Paul is aiming to fundraise to fully cover the voluntary guides airfares, accommodation, and any additional travel expenses. Your support by donating to this fund would be greatly appreciated!

Use of funds

Flights, accommodation and travel associated costs for Paul’s voluntary guides for the trips to run the Chicago and Tokyo marathons. If I don't reach my target, I will be personally funding any short-fall between what is raised and our target.
