Bluey survived being run over and needs your help to recover

Bluey, the sapphire eyed beauty, survived a severe ordeal with a car which left her pelvis crushed. Despite this she still managed to drag herself home for her family to find her.

Her dad rushed her to the after hours vet. Their estimate for diagnostics ran into multiple thousands of dollars. For a family with 3 kids under 8 this wasn’t feasible. The after hours bills already came to nearly $2000 with a similar bill for the pelvic surgery (pinning and setting her bones back into place).

Fortunately having a vet nurse friend, I recommended the clinic stabilize her and manage her pain so she can be x-rayed at a GP vet in the morning - this saves a fair bit of money.

Once we could see the extent of the damage, it was time to reach out to all resources. Having a vet friend who could do the surgery considerably cheaper meant Bluey was given a chance to regain the life she had.

We went ahead with it and she is now in recovery so the hard work begins. Bluey will need ongoing pain management and physiotherapy while we hope there is no / little nerve damage to affect her bowels.

Please help me help the family to cover the costs incurred and assist with those still to come.
