Help us accelerate Black Magic Women's Cycling progress and prepare the next generation of professional international female cyclists.
Nationwide
The Black Magic Women's Cycling team of 10 road cyclists is looking for financial sponsors to launch our high performing Under 19 women’s team into Australia and Europe for the 2023 season. Our Story https://bmwcycling.com/story/.
So far in 2022, our riders have claimed 4 national titles and 3 of our athletes were subsequently signed by UCI Continental teams. One has recently been signed by a World Tour Team for 2023 and 2 have been selected to represent NZ at the World Championships in Wollongong in September. Black Magic’s alumni includes 4 of the current pro-peloton riders; 1 x winner of UCI Young Rider Series Jersey, 3 x winners of Giro D’Italia Young Rider title, 2 x top 5 GC Giro D’Italia and all 4 competing in the recent Commonwealth Games.
With all Cycling NZ support now focusing on track riders, road cycling is reliant on volunteers, sponsors and parental support. Our aim is to raise $100,000 to introduce our top performers to international competition in Australia and Europe. Women’s cycling is at a tipping point; international recognition, a growing professional peloton, and massive spectator growth has catapulted it into the public eye. Black Magic women have earned the respect of their European rivals and continue a legacy which has established New Zealand as a unique training ground for top talent.
