Izzy and Boh will be competing in the Born to Run Adventure Racing October Virtual Challenge with the goal of achieving 100km! As of October 14th she has already achieved over 100km! She is carrying on their daily walks and will see where they end up by the end of October 👣🐎🚶♀️
She is seeking sponsorship per km achieved (to a max of 100km) or a donation, and all funds will go towards creating a Paddock Paradise Track system so she can foster rescue miniature horses for rehabilitation and rehoming 🥰
Izzy is a homeschooled teen who is passionate about the health and welfare of horses, she runs Horsemanship and Coaching lessons for the local Homeschool community. She is also a dedicated Army Cadet and is a member of the Selwyn Cadet Unit so is always looking for ways to combine her love of horses and smashing out her fitness goals! Boh is a friendly and confidant 5 year old Mini Horse with plenty of get up and go! These walks have seen her slim down and muscle up into the sleek little athletic package she is now. Izzy has also broken her to cart and will be continuing her training in this over the summer
She is also wanting to raise awareness of the following;
- The Born to Run Adventure Racing Challenge and the benefits of walking miniature horses on our shared pathways for their health and welfare along with that of their human companions
- The Pass Wide and Slow petition for vulnerable road users (please use the link to sign the petition)
I am Izzy's mother and chief volunteer & supporter with her equine rescue cases ... I am a former Veterinary Nurse and passionate about giving all equines a second chance at a full and purposeful life.
Creating a Track System for the prevention and rehabilitation of laminitis in miniature horses. Having this track system in place will mean she will be in position to foster and rehabilitate miniature horses.
