Update June 27th 2018
27 June 2018First of all, a massive thank you for the support and generous donations. I know Deb and Bay have been truly overwhelmed and are so very, very grateful.
These last few months have been a real battle and Ella has continued to amaze everyone around her with her courage and fighting spirit. Unfortunately however, after months of the most intensive chemo, lumbar punctures with spinal chemo under GA, an ongoing bilateral bells palsy episode as a side effect from Nelarabine, transfusions, hosptial admissions and 10 ED admissions, their beautiful girl has not reached remission that they had so very much hoped for. They truly believed she was in remission weeks ago as she fluttered around the oncology clinic and is often told by the nurses, "you look too well to be here Ella..go home 😊"
Fortunately they were all tested a few weeks ago for their tissue typing and Nina is a 100% perfect match for her big sister. They were told they only had a 25% chance.
Now their journey takes a different twist and is about to get a whole lot more intense as they prepare Ella's body for a bone marrow transplant.
These next few weeks will see them in and out of hospital and then Deb will be in hospital solidly for 6-7 weeks during the bone marrow transplant.
Please keep this precious family in your prayers and thoughts as they face this next phase in their journey. Again, any amount you can give to help ease the financial strain at this time I know will be so greatly appreciated. Much love and a very sincere thank you xx
