Brayden's Jiu-Jitsu dream

  • 2 Weeks until Boarding

We'll be boarding an aircraft in 2 weeks tomorrow, destination Nagoya Japan! That's rolled around very quickly, but it feels as if we've been working at this forever!

Brayden has been training Jiu-Jitsu at STMA 4 times per week; 3 group classes and 1 private class. He is also still loving his CrossFit class at Fortitude FSC. We have had to get a little more focused on diet as he is very close to the top weight cap of his registered category in Japan. It feels funny to having to watch what he heats after years of trying to force him to eat anything! His ADHD meds pretty much delete his appetite, so much so that he remained the same weight for a couple of years! This year though, he has shot up in height and had put on a lot of weight very quickly. Great for force and strength though.

Between now and competition weekend, we have 3 weeks to hone in on technique and ensure the basic skills are locked in. Thank you all for your ongoing support for Brayden, this opportunity is going to be something he will never forget! It wouldn't be possible without all of you and our awesome community! xxx

Brayden has been working hard with Jiu Jitsu training and crossfit to prepare for World's. He's now upping his training for the remaining 8 weeks concentrating on cardio fitness and honing in his technical skills.

From a fundraising perspective, he's been a busy little entrepreneur, running a market stall to raise additional funds which has also taught him some valuable life skills!

Thank you all for your ongoing support, helping Brayden achieve his dreams
