We are the GI Eagles – a proud Glen Innes basketball community using the game as a vehicle to uplift, guide, and empower our tamariki and rangatahi. For us, basketball is more than sport – it’s a safe space to grow, learn life skills, and stay connected to whānau and community.

We’re fundraising to help our Eagles spread their wings beyond the GI nest and chase opportunities they’ve worked so hard for. This year, we have three incredible pathways opening up:

🏀 Three of our young players have been selected to travel with the 1st Nations Polynesian Basketball team to Los Angeles and Las Vegas – a life-changing cultural and sporting experience.

🏀 Several of our players have made Auckland representative teams – a massive step in their development, giving them access to elite competition and new horizons.

🏀 Our GI Eagles teams are heading to national tournaments, proudly representing Glen Innes and all the hard mahi our kids have put in over the past three years – from early morning trainings to volunteering and reffing games.
