Breast screening fundraiser for a young mother who isn't eligible for free mammogram and CT scans
Browns Bay, Auckland
Hello, my name is Kate. I recently discovered 4 lumps on my left breast, which has really scared me. I reached out to my doctor right away, but since I'm 36, I'm not eligible for free breast screening. This means I have to find the money to pay for a mammogram and CT scan on my own. As a mom, it's hard to find extra money for these tests, and it's heartbreaking that I can't get checked out quickly. Even though I've been referred for a mammogram, I won't get an appointment for about 3 months. That's a lot of time for the lumps to grow, and if it's cancer, it's a lot of time for it to get worse. I'm sharing my story in the hope that people will help me raise the funds to get seen sooner. My youngest child is only 3 years old, and I'm so scared that if I do have breast cancer, it will make it difficult for me to care for my children. I just wish I could get this checked as soon as possible so I can begin treatment if it's cancer. From what I can tell, the lumps don't look good. Please help me ❤️
Mammogram, CT scan and any other costs that cone up in relation to this issue.

In my opinion, breast screening should be free for all woman! Not just for the 45-69 year olds. I found my first lump almost 2months ago now, and then 3 more recently.. It's really upsetting that some woman don't have the resources to get screened. This is our lives, and cancer is a killer!. Sadly at this rate I won't be getting my mammogram and ct scans because I simply can't afford to and the hospital is dragging their feet.
