To everyone who has donated, I am so grateful. A special thank you to my sister Kim, who has been there for me since day dot. I truely cannot thank you enough.

My recovery has been very slow, and hindered by an infection, but the news from the surgical team is that there is no more cancer in my body and this will be monitored over the next seven years. All in all, a good result. Once again thank you everyone.

After the surgery I spent 3 days in recovery trying to walk. I was determined to get home for Christmas and be with my family. I was granted special leave on Christmas day and formally discharged on boxing day. The next couple of days were spent adjusting to my body and how it works. Until I was taken back to hospital with a viral infection. It seems like an uphill battle at times physically, mentally and emotionally. I am trying to focus on what I have, rather than what I've lost. As I allow my body to heal, and prepare my mind for the next rounds of chemotherapy, I am humbled by the amount of people who care and urge me to keep fighting this disease.

Thank you everyone for your contributions and kind words.

Firstly, I would like to acknowledge and thank everyone for your donation. Asking for help is a very difficult thing for me to do, but I know that I can't do this on my own. Knowing that you are all invested in my journey, has put my mind at ease.

I have recieved a date for my surgery. The 22nd of December. I will miss this Christmas, but hopefully mean I will be around for many more.
