Bring Baby Harrison Home to NZ by Christmas

***Our give a little page was set up to receive donations in NZD. We originally thought our costs would be in euro as we are going from Ireland to NZ, however our saviours are Kiwis! If the donations from NZ come here we won’t lose anything from doing a currency exchange. Between this page and our go fund me (https://ie.gofundme.com/f/bring-baby-harrison-home that has raised €48k so far) we are hoping to make our goal. We appreciate your kindness and generosity.

Baby Harrison was born with a rare genetic disorder, after a long journey to conceive him. Specialists said he may only survive for about two years and its very important to protect him from illness. Time is so very precious, and we’d love to get home before Christmas to a large supportive and loving family who are eager to help us with whatever the future holds, and to weather that is more conducive for Harrison’s vulnerable lungs.

We so desperately wish to bring him back home to New Zealand from Ireland and have been advised by doctors that flying with a specialised medical team is the only way this can happen. We are asking for your help with the astronomical cost of this endeavour.

Your donation would allow this beautiful baby boy to live out his life surrounded by family and love with the resources and support he so desperately needs.

Harrison was born after four long years of trying to make a family and after many miscarriages and a molar pregnancy. We thought we had finally achieved our long-awaited dream. The pregnancy was normal, but Harrison came into the world not breathing or moving. He was diagnosed with Myotubular Myopathy (XLMTM), a rare genetic disorder. Since the very moment he was born he has not been able to leave the hospital. He has a big journey ahead.
