Bring back Flight.

To honour local sculptor LLew Summers, the community spent two years fundraising to purchase his last large bronze work "Flight". It was placed beside the Avon Heathcote estuary edge on the main road, and quickly became a feature that brought pleasure to the thousands of people who passed it every day. Sadly it was recently stolen and cut up for scrap. Your support will fund the creation of a new work, which will be hand crafted in concrete. This is a nod to Llew's many large-scale works in concrete before he began casting in bronze.
