Beth dreamed of coming home, the Maunga etched on her back. She worked so hard to be here with her boys and family where she belonged.
Taranaki
Beautiful Beth Bernet, was taken from her family and friends far too soon. And now sadly her boys will grow up without their mum, and her parents will grow old without their baby girl.
The world is cruel and unfair, especially in these circumstances, but people can create sparkles of light in the darkest of times with their generosity. We would like to help Beths family through this awful time.
Beth was based in Adelaide with her boys, but always dreamed of coming home to NZ. There was no decision to be made as to whether Beth would stay where her boys were based, but it came at a huge cost to her and her family.
Due to Coronavirus Beth’s parents, Robyn and John, would not be able to travel to Adelaide without isolating for 14 days upon arrival. As such, they will be seeking to bring Beth home which will cost tens of thousands, before taking into account the cost of a funeral here in NZ.
This such a huge unexpected cost, but critical to the grieving process, so lets top up the Bernets tank, so this process can be as seamless as possible.
It’s a tough time to ask for financial contributions, so whatever you can manage for a grieving and geographically separated family would be so appreciated.
Aroha nui!
