### **Help Bring Simone Home ❤️🇳🇿🇳🇱**

Simone came to New Zealand from the Netherlands with a big dream and an incredible amount of enthusiasm.

She travelled all the way from the Netherlands to complete her internship here in Aotearoa as part of her Physical Education degree. From the moment she arrived, Simone threw herself into the experience. She worked hard, connected with people, shared her passion for sport and education, and became a valued friend and colleague.

Unfortunately, what was meant to be an exciting chapter of her life has taken an incredibly difficult turn.

Simone has become quite ill and has now been in hospital for almost three weeks. We don't know how long she will need to remain in hospital or what the road ahead will look like.

Her father has travelled all the way from the Netherlands to New Zealand to be by his daughter's side. He has made an Airbnb close to the hospital his temporary home so he can be nearby throughout this uncertain time.

Simone is currently unable to work and has no income. Her travel insurence and health insurance won't cover the expenses made unfortunately.

The family now needs help to cover Simone's ongoing expenses, including her rent, her father's accommodation and, when she is medically well enough to travel, the cost of getting her safely home to the Netherlands.

Our hope is that we can take some of the financial pressure away from Simone and her family
