“The Race for Her Life” - Brydie Gladstone

  • Final Update and Thank You

      7 February 2024

Once again a huge warm grateful thank you for everyone’s generosity, kindness and prayers. Brydie read or heard all the messages whilst still able and was so humbled by the outpouring of love.

And thank you to all Brydie’s friends and family who shared such a special evening with us on Sunday to celebrate in true Brydie style – she would have loved it!

The incredible funds raised will be used entirely for ongoing services and care for Billie, as Nigel said on Sunday – she is Brydie’s legacy. A donation will also be made to Nurse Maude. The way they cared for Brydie was outstanding.

    Go well xxx

    Dear family and friends,

Our darling, gorgeous, kind, big-hearted, vivacious, one-of-a-kind Brydie passed away peacefully in the early hours of this morning with her close family by her side.

With tender hearts, we wholeheartedly thank you all for the incredible support, amazing generosity, beautiful messages and prayers you have shared with our family.

Family will hold a private service and this will followed by (in true Brydie style), a party in Christchurch so we can come together and celebrate her and her life.

Celebration party date and details to follow and will be posted on this page.

    Lots of love xxx

  • Update 22 Jan 2024

      19 January 2024

Hi everyone, Brydie has now been moved to Hospice as her medical team decided that a second round of chemotherapy may be harmful. This allows us to go down all alternative treatment paths to bring both hope and comfort to Brydie. There is no deadline in sight for Brydie, and her family are determined to give her the best solutions and support we can - and gratefully, we are able to provide this with the funds raised. Thank you all so so much for your kindness, prayers, messages, wishes and incredible generosity. It is a beautiful testament to the woman that Brydie is and just how many lives she has touched. Brydie reads the messages every day xxx
