Support Napier Islamic Centre Trust to establish the first mosque (Masjid Bilal) and Islamic Centre in Napier, New Zealand.

Napier, Hawke's Bay

Napier, a growing city of nearly 70,000 people, is currently the largest city in New Zealand without a mosque. Muslim families, students, workers, and visitors in the region currently have no dedicated place for daily prayers, Islamic education, or community gatherings.

To help address this need, Napier Islamic Centre Trust has been established as a registered charitable trust in New Zealand, with the vision of creating Masjid Bilal, an Islamic Centre and Masjid for the Hawke’s Bay community.

Our aim is to establish not only a place of worship, but also a centre that promotes unity, education, youth engagement, and positive community connections. We hope this centre will serve both the local Muslim community and the wider society for generations to come.

This is a significant project that requires substantial resources and community support. With the help of Allah and the generosity of donors, we believe this vision can become a reality.

In Islam, helping establish a mosque is a lasting charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), bringing continuous rewards for years to come. Every contribution, big or small, will help lay the foundation for the first mosque in Napier.

Your contributions go toward:

* Property/Land or Building Acquisition – approximately $700,000

* Initial Construction, Renovation & Fit-out – approximately $180,000

* Prayer Facilities & Community Space Setup – approximately $50,000

* Legal, Consent & Professional Fees – approximately $30,000

* Basic Furniture, Equipment & Utilities – approximately $20,000

* Contingency & Establishment Costs – approximately $20,000

These are preliminary estimates at this stage and may be refined further as the project develops.

We humbly request your support and duas to help make this vision a reality.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
