Help us create Hope Rest—a warm place where volunteers can stay, learn, and help care for rescued farm animals.
Takaka Hill, Tasman Region
Every rescued animal at Hidden Valley Farm Sanctuary has one thing in common: someone cared enough to help.
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our sanctuary. They feed animals, repair fences, clean shelters, welcome visitors, and spend countless quiet moments earning the trust of animals who have often known hardship. Without them, Hidden Valley couldn't continue to grow.
Today, we're asking for your help to create Hope Rest, a warm, comfortable volunteer cabin that will allow people to stay longer, travel from further away, and become an even greater part of our sanctuary family.
We've secured a fully insulated converted container locally, making this a rare opportunity that will save thousands compared with building one from scratch. Your support will help purchase the cabin, transport it to the property, prepare the site and furnish it with the essentials needed to welcome volunteers.
As our volunteer programme develops, we also hope to work alongside ServiceIQ to explore opportunities for eligible longer-term volunteers to work towards nationally recognised workplace qualifications, subject to programme eligibility and funding availability.
Hope Rest will be more than a place to sleep. It will become a place where compassion grows, friendships are formed, and people leave knowing they have made a genuine difference.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps build hope one volunteer at a time.
Thank you for believing in Hidden Valley Farm Sanctuary and the animals we care for.
