Bunny Rescue in Auckland

Bunnies are a much loved and popular pet in Auckland, but unfortunately many are abandoned or lost, particularly when they get older or become injured. With other rescue centres filling up and not having space available to house these bunnies, there was a need that we felt obligated to fill. We consistently house more than 20 bunnies after 2 years in operation. We have 11 hutches and are also using our indoor area as there is still a need for more housing! We have a garden area for the bunnies to run around in, and they love their companions.

We have adopted bunnies abandoned at the side of the road, injured bunnies, and bunnies that needed to be rehomed when owners had no options for housing them. We find new homes for these bunnies, but the cost of caring for them is high on a daily basis. Hutches also have a lifespan of 1-2 years so need replacing on a regular basis in order to provide good living conditions for them.

We are looking to build a stronger area to house the bunnies and replace the hutch layout, as 11 two storey hutches has become excessive, and they currently take turns running around the yard. We are hoping to provide a better layout for them now as we still have people requesting space. That's where we would appreciate the help!
