Help Fund Sarah’s Chest Reduction Surgery

I am fundraising for lifesaving/life-changing chest reduction surgery, a procedure that would dramatically improve my physical and mental well-being.

My large chest has affected every aspect of my life since I was young. It significantly impacts my confidence, causes constant physical discomfort, limits my participation in physical activity, affects how I dress, and costs hundreds of dollars each year in specialised bras and treatment for neck and back pain.

After years of struggling, I have booked a surgical consultation. Unfortunately, in New Zealand, surgery is only accessible privately. Despite qualifying and applying yearly for the past 10 years, I have been unable to access surgery through the public system due to limited funding.

This surgery would be genuinely lifesaving and gender affirming. It would relieve years of physical and emotional distress, help me feel at home in my body, and free me from the burden of a large chest, that I have carried for far too long. I wish I could fund this myself. I can no longer tolerate the impact on my physical and mental health.
