To help my family
Hawke's Bay
I have made this givealittle page to try and help raise some money for my sister’s family who are having some very rough times at the moment.
In 2007 my sister Susane Caccioppoli had breast cancer. Stephen was at her side all the way through it. Now thankfully she is in remission. Which is great but she still gets a lot of pain through the 12 major operations she had to have. It left her unable to fully work. She does a few hours here and there to make ends meet.
Stephen Caccioppoli her husband is a well known Executive Chef/Hospitality Consultant around the Hawke’s Bay. They owned the Corn Exchange Restaurant and Bar for Seven and a half years some years ago. He has done a lot of work in restaurants around the Hawke’s Bay. He hasn’t been working lately due to his amputated leg playing up. He lost his leg in his late teens.
About a month ago he went into hospital for some test, To find out why he had a sore tummy and was feeling sick. Next minute they are telling him he has Stomach Cancer but also it is through his limb notes and his liver. So that means his liver isn’t working, and there is nothing they can do to help him, also that he has about a year to live,Devastating news. Steve isn’t a sickly person,he is always healthy. About five or six days later he went back to the doctors to get the other results, more devastating news. They changed it from a year to three month it was worst than first thought. Since then Steve has just looked so sick he is in a lot of pain and can’t eat. It’s so sad seeing him like that. This week he is going to start chemotherapy, hopefully that will help him to feel a bit better, and give him more time with his children, time to make more memories.
They are a very close family, family is everything to Sue and Steve.
They have five kids,Two girls and three boys. It’s heartbreaking seeing the children go through something like this and not been able to help there pain. They also will do anything they can do to help others where they can. Family and friends have been very supportive, making sure that Sue and the family are fed,and someone there to talk to.
If you can please help this great loving family in anyway would be much appreciated they are going to need it as there is no insurance because after Sues cancer they were unable to get it. Please if you can help any it would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
To help them create sine memories any left over will help toward funeral costs
