Cakā needed another emergency operation costing thousands of dollars.

Cakā came into our lives two years ago from a traumatic life. Since having her, her love and wiggle bum has brought joy to everyone who meets her. However, she has a bad habit of chewing and eating things she shouldn't. Last year she had major surgery to remove a toy from her intestine. In addition to this, Cakā also has hip dysplasia and knee issues which have contributed to extremely high vet bills at only age 4. Her joy and love for life have helped her push through but we have no option but to reach out for help to cover costs because she underwent major surgery on Sunday the 11th of August. Cakā had a piece of her omentum (abdominal fat) wrapped around her jejunum (a part of her intestines), which had caused this part of the intestine to have a poor blood supply and start to break down. The piece of intestine was turning purple/black by the time of surgery, no food was able to pass beyond this point, and it would have ruptured very soon if we didn't do surgery at that point. Cakā had to have this piece of intestine removed entirely (an end-to-end anastomosis), with clean healthy edges of intestine either side sutured back together. This is a risky procedure and she will not be out of the woods yet. Any donation, small or large will be a great help and is greatly appreciated.
