    Quick update......

May and Oberon are both great! They're both still a little bit shy but Oberon is really gentle and calm, and May is the silly energetic one!

All the others are doing really well too, and growing fast!

And we may be getting one more calf in the next few days!! I might run another naming game soon so keep an eye on the updates if you're keen to get involved :)

PS the photo is May on the left and Oberon on the right

  • New calves without names!

    Hi everyone :)

Firstly, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated! You guys are AWESOME!! We now have enough funds for about two sacks of milk powder which should keep their little tummies full for a while ;)

And secondly, we now have two new calves! That takes us up to 5, with one more coming soon. But we're struggling to think of names. Do you guys have any suggestions? I thought it would be fun to say anyone who has donated can suggest names, as well as anyone who donates in the next 24 hours, then at 7pm tomorrow (24 the may) I'll draw names out of a hat!

We have a black boy and a girl who's black with a few little white spots.

Get thinking and put any suggestions in the comments :)

    Thanks!

Awww you're awesome Charlotte!! Thankyou for taking in these wee darlings and giving them the future that they deserve.

Here are a couple of thoughts on names:

May for the wee girl (is that a bit obvious?)

Kaha (courageous) for the wee lad. It can mean a few things in Maori in reference to strength and power

The calves had a little trip out in the field today to have a play around and get some sun. They loved it! They even introduced themselves to the horses!
