Hello. My husband Mark and myself are raising money to enable a new school to be built in a local village called Anlong veng in Cambodia.

We have just returned from visiting this school. They have no running water, No toilets or facilities to wash their hands. The school is very crowded with 50 children in each class and others wanting to attend the school. The Cambodian Wildlife Sanctuary have been very generous and given land to build a new school on. The Serengeti Foundation are providing the toilets and two of the classrooms. The children need at least 4 classrooms and a childcare facility.
We will be passing the funds on to the Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary directly, as they are paying the contractors to build the School. or we will be buy building material with them. We are returning to the village in September and are intending to build desks and furniture while there.

Mark and I have visited this school, village and the Cambodian Wildlife Sanctuary. We wish to be hands on and continue to help this one community. I know we cannot help everyone but we feel that with your help and Gods Grace we can change the lives for these children for a better future. We are returning in September with Richard & Isla Short to help in any way we can to facilitate the school project.
Use of funds
The Funds will go directly to build and resource new classrooms. Mark Hillary Design is designing and drawing up the plans, and your money will go to pay for the builders and the materials. We also wish to be able to buy basic resources for the school in the way of tables, chairs, books and pencils.

School Build Progress 2 November 2017
Thank you for all your support. At the moment the plans for a 4 classroom school have been drawn up and they are currently in at the Cambodian Government. . We are at the stage of WAITING for approval to come so that we can start the build. We are very excited and are keeping close contact with the school and the teachers. We are also in contact with Lek Chailert and Darrick Thomson from the Elephant Nature Park who are processing these plans and who are the major contact and organisation that we are joining with. Keep supporting us and as soon as we know more information we will share.
