A love note from Susi - post surgery
10 August 2016Kia ora
I've had a lucky escape! And, it seems that your supportive energy and thoughts have worked!
I received the pathology report from my mastectomy and I have literally dodged an incoming ballistic missile with barely a graze! Histology on the breast tissue revealed - as well as the already mapped high grade Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS) - not one, not two, not three, but four malignant Grade III tumours, which had not previously shown up in any screenings. This is indicative of fast-moving aggressive cancer and it is a miracle that it had not reached my lymph nodes which are all squeaky clean!
Phew!
I sincerely believe that it this is not just luck, but a result of the rigorous anti-angiogenesis practice I was following, something which was enabled by the generosity and love of friends like you.
With so much gratitude.
Hugs.
