Please help my sister with travel and essentials for her and her kids while she recovers from chemotherapy treatments.
Taranaki
My sister Stacey has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and will be undergoing treatment for just over a year. The first set of chemotherapy goes for 5 months, followed by surgery and radiotherapy, and then another 7 months of chemotherapy which hopefully helps reduce the risk of it returning.
Having a 19 month old and 2 month old twins, her and her husband Chazz are in need of some support while she recovers. Unfortunately Stacey’s family live in Auckland, so we will be travelling to New Plymouth a lot to help, and also plan to organise things like food parcels, pre-prepared meal deliveries, etc. to help as best we can during this time. If possible, these funds will also go towards childcare, the essentials, and basic cost of living while Stacey’s work hours may be cut short.
This page is for my sister, who is going through her 2nd battle with cancer in her life. While her leukaemia at age 15 was extremely tough, being diagnosed now with breast cancer with her 19 month old son and 2 month old twins is a whole new challenge.
Travel for Stacey’s family to go down and support her and her children, basic cost of living when Stacey’s work hours are cut short, and the essentials (childcare, formula, fuel for doc appointments and treatment) where possible.
Another care package! 1 September 2024
Mum is on her way down for Stacey’s treatment this week, so we stocked Stacey up for nappies for the 3 young ones, and some more formula for the twins. We also helped mum out with some fuel for her travel, as the cost of all this travel adds up! Stacey also needed some help with fuel this week due to multiple hospital and doctor appointments, which is a good hour drive return from where she lives each time.
Thank you so much everyone for your help, it has made things so much easier, having these funds to top up where/when needed.
Thanks so much Kelly, we really appreciate it ❤️
