Hi. Thankyou for looking. I am 54 years, married for 2. I have a 30yo daughter and 8yo grandson. A kiwi since birth and proud to be.
In June 2025 I was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, due to many complications biliary stent, liver drain, cholecystitis, gastric bypass, blockages, chemotherapy was delayed because, id also gone from 110kg to 70kg. So once chemo started 3 months later after 2 rounds I had a bad reaction that hospitalized me again, chemo was paused, and a CT showed the cancer had spread to my nodes, I was told bluntly that the tumor is no longer resectable nor operatetable and I was now terminal with palliative care.
March 2026 they started me on folfirinox, a different chemotherapy which iv now had 10 rounds with 2 more reduced potency coming. Then a well deserved break from chemo for hopefully some more quality with my family.
Its been devastating for everyone close, iv been so unwell at times. To say its been terrible and scary with the fear of death week by week is a horrible way to be for anyone with this disease
14 months later and unable to work and zero assistance from winz as my wife earns just above the threshold to recieve assistance, living from my super and the generous help from my family im feeling like a nuisance and struggling with money im selling all I can and trying to get by.
Any donation small or big will be so greatly appreciated and the love and care felt in heart very much. Iv seen and recieved so much kindness its very warming 💜
07/09: Update funds will go towards funeral and living costs
Hopefully enough to carry on helping my wife with the bills and essential living costs. Then maybe if possible build some nice memories with her and my family. Like a small getaway or treats.
