Canterbury couple distraught as local council votes against paying out for its role in leaky home nightmare
Please help my mum and step dad, they deserve to have a home that is deemed liveable.

My mum (Nic) and my step dad (Kerry) have been left distraught after Waimakarri District Council
voted against paying out for the councils role in a leaky home nightmare.
Nic and Kerry have been fighting with the Waimakarri qfor a while now, their last resort was to make it public, to show how the council treats their rate payers.
They received devastating news on camera when filming with TV 1s Fair Go from the council.
I believe the council feels that they are unworthy of help and are sticking to the legal side of it even though they have mucked my parents around for years, making them spend thousands on top of already paying for a mortgage on a house they can not live in.
I have copied in the link of their interviews with Fair Go and the struggles they have encountered.
I fear that if this prolongs and the stress endures or increases it may cause mental and physical issues, i am a nurse and have seen what this type of stress can do to someone.
They already have 10s of thousands to pay for their lawyers amd court costs at present and it will ontinue to climb they deserve justice from a non liveable house.

Their lawyers bill are going to cost 100 of thousands of dollars.
They do not expect any where near thos amount, they are greatful of any help provide
All funds, whether big or small will all go only to present and future lawyer bills/court costs.
