Cape Reinga to the Beehive is an awareness walk from Cape Reinga to Parliament in Wellington.
Waikato, Waikato District
Sam Troth - The Road to Healing Aotearoa '’Cape Reinga to the Beehive’ is raising awareness for survivors of sexual abuse by walking from Cape Reinga to Wellington
This powerful journey symbolises the long road to justice for survivors of sexual offending and will raise nationwide awareness of the urgent need for change.
We are calling on the New Zealand Government to make urgent changes to sentencing laws and public education around sexual offending. Survivors deserve justice, and we need to ensure offenders are held accountable.
This fundraiser supports advocacy efforts to push for:
Stronger Sentencing – A minimum sentence of 8 years with no probation for those convicted of sexual offences.
Fair Trial Outcomes – The removal of character references for offenders found guilty, ensuring sentencing is based on facts, not personal testimonies.
Public Awareness & Support – A nationwide education campaign across multiple platforms to raise awareness about sexual offending, prevention, and support services for survivors.
Together, we can push for a system that prioritises justice for survivors and ensures meaningful consequences for offenders.
Donate today and walk with us toward justice!
