Bernard is 48yrs old and is in a wheelchair after getting pneumonia and spinal meningitis at 5 days old. He needs 24hr care.
Our wheelchair van with a hoist in it was stolen 18 months ago. It was insured, but because it was 29 years old, the payout was only a few thousand dollars, and wouldn’t even cover the cost of a hoist.
We are trying to get money for a car with a ramp at the back.

Found van for much less cost 1 November 2024
Thank you so much to everyone’s kindness donating we found a van with hoist much less cost than we originally thought and have reduced the target to meet this amount - we are getting there!!!!
