Carole's Fight for Life

  • We're extending Carole's page

      9 September 2019

Hi to all of Carole's supporters

It's been a year since Carole was diagnosed with stage IV cancer and that year has zoomed by in a haze of treatments, appointments, scans, tears and laughter.

The kindness you have shown has quite literally kept Carole alive and... well, how do you thank someone for the gift of life? I'm not sure, but I want you to know how grateful we for that gift.

I originally opened this page for a year, given Carole's diagnosis, and now I'm extending the date because Carole continues to need our support to carry on with the treatments that are keeping her well.

Thank you, again, for your kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity.

  • Carole's cure

      15 July 2019

Hello to all of you kind people who have helped to fund Carole's therapies so far.

The money you have all donated has quite literally kept Carole ALIVE, and she is incredibly grateful for your kindness. Unfortunately, the funds will run out after her next vitamin c treatment. This means Carole will have to reduce and stop some of her treatments (ozone therapy $65 a week; intravenous Vitamin C $210-220 fortnightly; Reiki $15 a week and Rife $50 twice a week; supplements include lypospheric vitamin C, minerals, spirulina, vitamin B, apple cider vinegar and other specialised supplements).

Carole pays for some of the therapies /supplements from her sickness benefit, but as you can see from the costs above, this is impossible for her to afford.

Carole has made some quite radical changes in her life since having cancer, including going to a gym for the first time (what!) and she is now on a strict eating plan - no dairy, gluten, sugar and meat, no acidic foods and mainly plant based.

We have done a lot of research into the type of cancer Carole has and Carole is confident that in time, using this approach, she will cure herself of cancer.

  • No medical cure

      29 May 2019

This is an update to the update made a couple of days ago (basically I missed a bit out so I've added it in below). After several sessions of Chemotherapy and no shrinking of the tumors/lesions, the Oncologist has advised Carole that there is nothing further they can do for her cancer.

Carole continues to use a range of natural therapies, a healthy diet and exercise to keep as well as possible.

Treatments include ozone therapy ($65 a session) and intravenous Vitamin C (approximately $229 per infusion). Carole has also started Reiki sessions and is looking to starting Rife therapy very soon. She has adopted an alkaline diet and is taking several supplements recommended for cancer.

All of this adds up to an enormous cost for Carole, as these therapies are not currently funded in New Zealand.

So thank you so much for supporting Carole. The donations you have made towards her Fight for Life have made it possible for Carole to have the treatments and supplements she needs.

That is just so unfair !!!

My heart goes out to you Carole and to your Whanau....I cant comprehend the struggles you have had to deal with and am so amazed at your stamina and the wonderful support you have from your siblings, friends and extended family.

You Carole in particular, have shown strength beyond expectation and I am glad you are continuing with your natural therapies. Keep believing !!!

I am not there but you are always on my mind and in my prayers. I love you. Cheryl B xoxo

Carole started chemo last week and she still has hair and a sense of humour!

I'm amazed at how strong and brave Carole is, despite side effects like sleeplessness, lack of energy, a kidney infection...I feel quite humbled by her determination and positive spirit.

Carole is overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity. She struggles to find the words to let you know how thankful she is for your support but asked me to convey that as best I could. Thank you for, quite literally, supporting my sister in her quest for life xxx
