Help us get to Brisbane for our Music Tour. Extra Baggage costs for our instruments is really hurting us!

We are heading away shortly on our Music Tour to Brisbane, Australia. We've had a major stumbling block, where in the past and with other airlines we have been able to pool our luggage allowance across the group. We could then fit in our luggage and of course the many instruments we're taking. Unfortunately we've been told rather late in the day that this is no longer possible. The additional costs for us to take our instruments, is unexpected and makes things really hard for our families so close to the trip.
About us
Cashmere High School is a coeducational state school, with a particular strength in the performing arts. We have a biannual production which has included shows such as Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof and Cabaret, as well as regional and international tours.
Use of funds
To cover the costs of taking instruments as additional luggage for our Music Tour to Brisbane.

When I set this up yesterday, I had no idea everyone would be so generous and I had set a lower goal not believing we'd come anywhere close, let alone within 24hours. Because of all your support, we have a chance of actually covering the full cost of instrument hire and extra luggage. We might not hit that target, but we're certainly so much closer. On behalf of all the students and their families and our music staff, thank you all very much!!
My faith in airlines might be somewhat dashed, buy my faith in humanity has taken a huge boost over night!
