Live for More is celebrating its 10th birthday and 10 years of transformed lives. So many young men have found freedom!
Mount Maunganui, Tauranga
Live for More is celebrating its 10th birthday and all the precious lives that have been truly transformed over the past 10 years since its launch at Classic Flyers on 19 February 2016!
Over the past ten years, Live for More has worked with hundreds of young men, empowering them to find freedom from their troubled pasts and make lasting, positive changes. So many precious lives have been saved, so many young men have found healing, so many families have been restored and so many dysfunctional cycles have been broken!
In New Zealand, the cost for one person to be in prison for one year is $150,000 (approximately). This amount that Live for More hopes to raise is in honour of all the young men who have come though the doors at Live for More over the past 10 years who are now NOT in prison, specifically those:
- who were in prison, but have made changes and never returned to prison
- who were on the path to prison, but were prevented from a future behind prison walls.
$150,000 towards Live for More's therapeutic programmes, rehabilitation, clinical support, mentoring and showing young men there is SO MUCH MORE to life than drugs, crime, gangs and prison... is so much more effective and transformative than spending $150,000 for a young man to be in prison.
Let's raise this amount of money so Live for More can support even MORE young men for the next 10 years (and beyond)!
Live for More's purpose is to empower rangatahi/young people to find freedom from their troubled pasts and be inspired to live positive and fulfilling lives. Live for More transforms troubled lives through surf therapy programmes, one wave at a time.
All money raised will go directly to Live for More's surf therapy programmes and operational costs for the organisation.
