A Complicated rib surgery, the insurance rejected the claim. It's crucial that Jess receives this or can lead to serious complications.
Hawke's Bay
Jess McCleary has a debilitating chronic illness, Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). It causes her a lot of pain and carrying out daily tasks have become really difficult and painful. Jess has recently lost her mother, who was her best friend and her main source of support.
She has found out that her cervical rib is causing thoracic outlet syndrome affecting her left arm. Lack of surgery could lead to potential limb loss consequences and if left untreated would result in the impingement of a nerve or a main artery or vein.
The insurance rejected the claim, claiming that the cervical rib Thoracic outlet syndrome is a developmental condition (something that is acquired from birth), however, the operating Surgeon claims that the cause is pathological. The insurance would not cover the surgeons fees, hospital stay, specific drugs needed and the anaesthetist charges.
Therefore, we ask that if you could please spare a little money for Jess's Cervical Rib Resection, it would help her pay the fees for the surgery. Any amount you spare will be greatly appreciated and will ensure that Jess gets the medical treatment she needs to avoid further complications.
Good friend of Jess
The money is being spent on paying for the surgery. Any surplus will be used for any future neurosurgeries Jess may need or to be able to pay medical fees, rent, or even university loans.
