Auckland
The iconic Auckland Marathon is taking place on 28 October 2018 and we have a team running and fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis. Training for the marathon is a great way to keep motivated over the winter months. CF Auckland will be supporting their runners in the lead up and on the day. We will be greeting our runners at the finish line with food/drink and a free massage from a sports physio.
About us
The support Auckland Branch offers members, families and caregivers takes many forms and includes the provision of medical equipment for daily CF regimes, hospital visits and gift packs, educational talks, social functions, distribution of food and parking vouchers and liaison with teams at Starship and Auckland Hospitals.
Use of funds
We are raising funds to purchase a number of portable oxygen concentrators.
This medical equipment enables those with a low lung function to be able to continue with normal activities of daily life that they would be unable to do without this equipment.
