They woke up about 5am, to the smoke detectors going off, and upon coming downstairs realised the back of the house was well alight.
They got out with their lives, however the house was gutted, the only things the got out with was their phone, passports, camera and laptop.
Chances prized motorbike was parked at the back verandah area, and is gutted.
As most people will know Chance is a gifted motorcycle rider, and has won The Bridgestone Junior Winter Series of the year last year, won Wairarapa Maori Sportswomen 2016, and this year won the Gareth Spooner Memorial series 250cc development, and 3rd overall with points.
Fund raised will also go to Bruce and Corrinne to help them rebuild their lives.
I'm involved as a friend of the family.
Funds raised will be used to help replace Chance's custom racing motorcycle.
