Northland

Our beautiful friend Chantal Curel (Channy) has been recently diagnosed with HER2-positive Breast Cancer.

As you can imagine this diagnosis has rocked her world and those close to her! At 37 years young, Channy has 4 young tamariki to care for alongside some awesome support from whānau and friends who adore her.

After a whirlwind of initial dr appointments, biopsies, CT and MRI scans, Channy’s journey of Chemotherapy followed by double mastectomy surgeries will begin this month in her fight against this cancer. In addition to the initial 6 months of Chemotherapy, her treatment plan includes the unfunded drug Pertuzumab which greatly increases her chances to fight the cancer. Channy will begin a 3 weekly treatment cycle for the next 6 months. In order to receive this much needed treatment, we are reaching out for support so that Channy can do everything possible to beat this aggressive cancer.
