Today (17th November 2022) my beautiful Chewy came home ❤️

I just wanted to say my absolute heartfelt thanks to everyone who provided words of comfort, love, and to those who donated and shared our GIL page to raise funds for Chewy's cremation - I will be forever grateful for the support and love shown during such a heartbreaking and difficult time for us.

It's still surreal going outside and not seeing Chewy waiting for me in the paddock, I miss her terribly 🥺🥺

I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Soul Friend Pet Cremations who took care of Chewy after her passing. They have been amazing from the very get go and I'm so grateful of everything that they have done for us to ensure we could bring Chewy home and keep her safe forever more with us.

It was a very expensive decision for us and there were many factors that made it even a possibility, including the wonderful donations from friends and strangers on Chewy's 'Give a Little' page; I'll be forever grateful for the love and support we received here, truly! Chewy's passing and the return of her beautiful soul was something that I knew I needed to make happen one way or another and I'm sad but happy and at peace that she is home with us again.

Once we have gotten through the Christmas period we will return to the team at Soul Friends to have a permanent urn created for our big beautiful girl also ❤️

Once Chewy had passed over the rainbow bridge on the 22nd August 2022, the team at Soul Friends took over and very dignifyingly and gently collected her body and her rug. I did not have to be a part of this at all (but had the choice). They came the day after Chewy's passing, did not rush me at all and had the most respectful friendly manner throughout the whole process. Chewy's rugs were removed for the cremation and returned carefully with her ashes. A beautiful certificate of her cremation details was also provided. She was cremated the day after collection as planned, and then kept safe with the team at Soul Friends for a little while until I paid off the remainder of her cremation. I am so so grateful for the opportunity to be able to have done this, and that the team kept Chewy safe in the meantime ❤️

One of the hardest things I've ever had to do was say goodbye to my beautiful girl of 14 years, but I'm so glad that the team at Soul Friends made it possible for her to stay close to our family, no matter where we may be. Vienna (my 2.5yo daughter) gave Chewy's scatterbox a cuddle and whispered "Chewy's magic powder", before pointing at the sky tonight... Our girl is home ❤️

I love you so much Chewy, fly high and run free my beautiful girl ❤️❤️❤️

  • Thank you & payee update

      19 August 2022

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated!

We have requested Give A Little to amend the beneficiary of this page from myself & my husband, to Chewy's cremators, so any and all donations will now go direct to them to pay towards her cremation.
