Enter details of your update here Hi everyone. Its with sadness that I inform you that Christine died in my arms on April 24, 2013. Her treatment stopped working after a very positive 6 months. Karen and I would like to thank you all very much for your past assistance in helping all of us have this extra time with Christine, and her with us. Christine has been able to give sight through donation to 2 people, and this is an amazing gift from her. Moving forward, Christine's vision was to help Young Stroke victims and also the Cancer Ward at Auckland Hospital. We appreciate any donations, and these will be gratefully passed on. Thank you all once again - Trish (Christine's momma)

      22 December 2012

It's a time of year for miracles and we have received one ourselves that we were all hoping for. Christine has been taking a new drug from the United States for the last 3 months, and has had an excellent result to this new treatment. Even more than her Oncologist had hoped for. All but one lymph node has normalized. The tumors in her lungs have completely resolved. We are so excited to share this news. Thank you for your love and continued support as it makes a huge difference to us as Christine's journey continues in a most positive direction. We do require ongoing financial support and this is appreciated. We wish you love and a very happy Christmas and a fabulous 2013. Regards: Trish, Karen and Christine x

We attended the Oncologist last night and pretty much the first words out of his mouth is that?Christine's response to Chemo has surpassed even what he thought it would.?? The small tumors in her upper chest and neck area,?have completely gone.?? All the other lymph nodes are the same - no sign of any cancer.?? There is only one left which was a very enlarged lymph node.?? This has shrunk to over half the size it was.? It has dead cells in the centre, however, there are cancer cells surrounding it. So... because she responded so well to the chemo, we had?her final cycle?today which makes a total? of 6.? Next week she is seeing the Radiation Specialist and will have radiation directed onto the affected node.? Then, she is hopefully in remission for a very long time.? It will (because of the type of cancer Christine has) reoccur.?? She will be monitored on a regular basis and as soon as it is detected, they will respond accordingly.?? We are confident that she will not have another stroke as this was all initiated by the cancer. As we progress, medical science is progressing also.? Thank you for your prayers, good vibes, and best wishes.? They have all helped immensely.? Your generous donations have been gratefully received and have assisted us in reaching this wonderful place.? We will always remember caring people who helped with?our vision. ?Patricia (Christine and Karen's Momma)

      26 July 2012

Hi again everyone, Another 6 weeks has flown by very quickly and I am over half way through my chemo. Because I need to focus on my?wellbeing and attend?my medical appointments, by mutual agreement with my Boss, I have now resigned from my place of empoyment. Hudson have done everything possibly? to look after my interests?(thanks). My?most recent?Chemo session went better than anticipated, as the previous one was a little difficult with my vein becoming irritated during the infusion. I actually managed to sleep through most of it last time! My 5th Chemo cycle is scheduled for next week. I am feeling positive and have recenty joined an Art Class and an Exercise Group through Club Physical, both of which I have the Cancer Society to thank for! Thanks once again for all of your generous donations. I appreciate your help. Lots of love, Christine :)

Hi everyone here is a quick update on me and my progress now I have begun Chemotherapy.? Although initially I tolerated the treatment rather well, I have to say the next few cycles have been a lot harder on my body and some days can be harder than others, so I am just doing my best to stay positive and make it through this one day at a time.?? My Oncologist is very happy with the results of my first few treatments with the lymph nodes in my throat shrinking significantly in size, so there is some good news!? Further good news, I have tested positive for a mutation to the cancer which will allow me another weapon against this disease should the chemo not do the trick as this mutation has proven to respond extremely well to a new drug.? I want to take this chance again to thank you all for the? support Ifve received, it has totally blown me away you are all my angels THANK YOU!!!? Lots of love, Christine :)

Ifm blown-away by the love, support and generosity of you all. We are halfway to reaching our target! Thank you I am truly humbled. My first chemotherapy treatment I tolerated well and have started my healing journey! Ifm allowed to drive, live independently and return to work for the first-time since February. Also, HudsonGlobalResources (my employer) are phenomenal! For someone so unlucky Ifm blessed. Love and Light, Christine xox
