Bringing joy to less fortunate Kiwi Kids this Christmas - Gifting them a care box filled with love to open on Xmas day.
Auckland
We are putting together Christmas care boxes for underprivileged children in New Zealand this Xmas and are looking for some support.
Our Mission:
We are hoping to put together 200 ‘You are Loved’ boxes for 4 different age groups of Kiwi Children. We would like to fill these boxes with a mix of necessity items such as soaps, toothbrushes, deodorant, socks, stationary, along with a toy, healthy snacks and words of encouragement for these children to feel loved and empowered this Xmas.
Why:
85,00 children are living in severe poverty in New Zealand. In 2017 there were over 4,000 people lining up outside of the Auckland City Mission, most of which were single mothers collecting necessities and clothing for their children.
How can you help:
We are looking for any donations of product or money to help us put these Xmas boxes together. If you have any products you could donate to our boxes, please message our page on Facebook - Christmas Care Box NZ
We have partnered with The Breakfast Club and will be giving out our Christmas Care Boxes to 400 kids at their Xmas Day on the 21st of December. These families have been selected by social workers who are in need of some love this Xmas.
The cost of putting each box together is approximately $32. As our goal is to produce 200 care boxes, this equates to $6,400.
We are aiming to raise $7,000. Any money remaining will be donated directly to the Auckland City Mission.
