    We again want to say thanks for enabling the nativity float in the Auckland Santa Parade! Together, all of us made this special occasion possible.

    Yesterday we received an encouraging email from the Givealittle team: "Your Givealittle campaign has resonated strongly with our team. We are currently preparing an end of year media pack featuring a selection of standout stories from the platform, and we would love to include yours".

    The Santa Parade was yesterday (Sunday 30th November), and it was a great success!

    The participants met at Elim Church in the morning to get into their costumes and have a final run through of the day, before we made our way up to Vincent Street, where the Nativity Float was stationed, ready to go!

    The weather was choppy, but the rain stopped as the parade began. The route took us all the way down Queen Street, past 150,000 people, the choir singing Joy to the World and other carols that spoke of the good news of Jesus.

    We then gathered at Aotea Square for the After Party, and had a booth offering fun and games (thanks to Red Frogs NZ), books telling of the Christmas story (thanks to Bible Society and Shining Lights Trust), information about other Christmas events in the communities, and the opportunity to take a photo with Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus.

    A massive thank you to everyone who donated to make this all happen, to all those who got involved on the day, and to everyone who prayed for this event.

    Together, we were able to bring the gift of Christ back to Auckland City this Christmas.

  • Less than a week to go!

    With the Santa Parade just under a week away, we're excited to get the last pieces together on the float!

    Here's what it's looking like at the moment, minus the trailer. We can't wait to see it rolling along Queen Street this Sunday, as we share the good news of Christ with the city of Auckland.

  • 18 days to go!

    Thank you to all who have given so far!

    We're making great progress on the float, with all the elements of the design cut out and getting ready to assemble and paint!

    As well as the float itself, we've been gathering a choir to walk behind the float, a music team to accompany them, and meeting with people from across different churches who will be on and beside the float to help tell the Christmas story.

    With 18 days to go, we're getting excited about the opportunity to bring Christ back to the heart of Christmas this year.

    Just under a month to go until the Auckland Santa Parade!
