C’mon, Common Unity

Kia ora whānau.

We’ve recently discovered that most of our home at The ReMakery is not up to standard to keep us safe from Rūaumoko and his earthquakes, so for the time being we’re all cooped up in the front of the building. We’re still running our Sew Good, Urban Kai Farms, Beeple Honey and Koha Kawhe programmes but we’re doing it from just a few rooms and out there in the community. We’re making it work, but a bunch of things that were generating income (like gigs and the full grocery), aren’t able to operate in the limited space we have.

But fear not, we aren’t throwing in the trowel! We just need a bit of help filling up the tank. Your donations can help plug the gap left by those missing money spinners. We’re looking to raise over $30,000 to tide us over until the building situation gets sorted. It’s a lot of money, but together this community can do anything.

In the last year alone we ran over 250 events, helped support 2,200 community members and grew and distributed a massive 745kg of fresh healthy produce to people in need. Together we did that. And together we can keep doing that into the future. Any donation you can make to the Common Unity cause at this time would be greatly appreciated.
