Colour Spectrum: Art & Autism Exhibition 2023

$2,635 of $8,400 goal
Given by 30 generous donors in 12 weeks

We are organising an art exhibition to showcase neuro-diversity and the artistic abilities of people with autism.

Auckland

My son, Haz Crawford, is 22 years old and very proud to be autistic. During one of his visits to The Good The Bad Gallery in Glen Innes, Gary mentioned that he was keen to promote diversity in the gallery’s exhibitions. Following this discussion Haz came up with a dream to organise an art exhibition for autistic and neuro-divergent artists living in Auckland. Gary agreed to host the exhibition at the gallery from Sunday 2 April (World Autism Awareness Day) through to Saturday 15 April 2023. We have titled the exhibition ‘Colour Spectrum’ and the artists will receive 100% of the proceeds of any sales.

The majority of our contributing artists are young, and either still at school or possibly attending day programmes for people with complex needs which means we will need the help of community minded individuals and organisations to help us finance the exhibition. That’s where you come in.

We are hoping to raise approximately $8,000 to cover the costs of:

- gallery space rental and staffing $3,200

- frames for art pieces $2,400

- installation of art pieces $900

- promotional materials, advertising, EFT-POS rental and official opening $1,500

Are you willing to contribute towards this unique event which celebrates our talented artists? We are hoping to raise $8,000 before the end of March.
