Continuing Our Fertility Journey

  • Some sad news ❤️

Kia Ora beautiful friends family and kind people of the world. We have been keeping quiet lately and concentrating on recovering from our recent adventures.

We got our bodies in a really good place to complete our third IVF cycle. I took three weeks off work in June and July to complete the IVF cycle. We would not have been able to do this without your generous support so thank you so very very much! We were very hopeful and did everything we could to try and make it work this time around.

Unfortunately even though the treatment went well. We still have very low egg quality that has caused us a few problems. Due to these issues our blastocyst did not survive past transfer and so we are obviously very disappointed with the result. Thank you for all your kindness and support, we are so thankful for you all. Sending love and positive vibes to you all.

Attached is a photo of the blastocyst that unfortunately did not survive.

  • Updated Goal

      4 March 2021

Kia Ora beautiful people, we had an appointment with our fertility specialist on Friday. We are in the process of running some more tests but unfortunately we do not qualify for the fertility cover package we had hoped to get and so we are now only fundraising for one more IVF/ ICSI cycle with high levels of stimulants. That comes to around 14k so that is why we have changed the goal amount. The good news out of that is we have less funding to raise and so hopefully we can get it done faster! 😊 We are also looking at some natural remedies to support and supplement treatment. Sending out love to you all ❤️

Since going public with our journey I have had many, many people come to me with their own silent struggles. Some are fertility related and others I had no idea about. I am slowly learning about mental health, some other medical conditions as well as domestic issues. It really opens you're eyes to recognise everyone has their own personal struggles. I just wanted to shout out to you guys and know I see you and I’m always here to support you. Sending positive vibes to everyone.

We are amazed by everyone’s support and kindness, thank you all for your wonderful caring words. It really does mean the world to us to have so much support and love around us in our wee village. We will be continuing to work hard, save up and fight the good fight to have a family. No one said life was going to be easy and we’ve still got a long way to go. Sending big hugs to you all ❤️
