Please support the oldest NGO in the Cook Islands
International
The Cook Islands Child Welfare Association (CICWA) 👶🏾 is the oldest non-profit organisation in the Cook Islands, running since 1931. All our Child Welfare members are volunteers, donating their time to support their communities.
We work closely with community health nurses from Te Marae Ora, to offer free and confidential baby health checks (Paunu) across Rarotonga and some of the outer islands at purpose-built community clinics.
We rely solely on community fundraising and donations to deliver our services. The funding we receive from government is very limited and barely enough to keep our office running. Your donation, no matter how small, will help us continue our important work in the Cook Islands 🙏🏽
I am currently placed with Cook Islands Child Welfare Association for a 1-year volunteer assignment via Volunteer Service Abroad (NZ), helping them with the communications and fundraising efforts in Rarotonga.
All donations will go towards the delivery of our Paunu (baby health checks), healthy kai for children at clinic and the upkeep of our Child Welfare clinic buildings.
