    Kia Orana

Please note funds will be paid to Steve Whitta, our Cook Islands SPCA President's account in NZ, due to our Society not being able to open foreign entity accounts in NZ.

Thank you for your understanding and we continue to appreciate all the help we receive!

  • Still Going Strong Through COVID

      22 January 2021

    Kia Orana,

We are still going strong despite our borders being closed to tourists since March 2020. Our small volunteer committee continue to help the dogs of Rarotonga. We were extremely lucky to have 3 "stranded" tourists here from March till November, December and January respectively, who helped us with our quest and we successfully rescued and re-homed dogs all year!

Our wonderful shelter which provides a temporary home for dogs in need prior to their adoption was not suitable to safely house puppies.

Early last year the CISPCA was immensely grateful to receive a bequest of $4000 towards the building of a puppy compound which will commemorate this tremendous gift.

To date we have laid the concrete floor and bought timber and roofing, which was generously constructed by a volunteer builder! We are striving now to get puppy kennels in there to house puppies ready for rehoming.

Every single dollar helps towards the goal – so please give whatever you feel you can spare.

Our wonderful shelter which provides a temporary home for dogs in need prior to their adoption is not suitable to safely house puppies.

Earlier this year the CISPCA was immensely grateful to receive a bequest of $4000 towards the building of a puppy compound which will commemorate this tremendous gift.

Our builder has since quoted $13,000 to complete the job, then we need a further $4000 to outfit it with a play area, and puppy pens which means we are on a mission to raise $13000.

Every single dollar helps towards the goal – so please give whatever you feel you can spare.

To show gratitude for extremely generous donations:

$250 will receive a digital photo of a puppy named in their honour

$500 we will engrave your name on a Puppy Lovers plaque on the shelter wall

$1000 puppy pen signage with your name
