A Big Thank You From Cookie

Thank you everyone for the support and love showed to Cookie. Cookie had surgery on Monday 20 May 2024 to repair what tuned out to be a broken leg just below the ball of the hip joint. It was also found Cookie is a boy!!!.

Surgery went very well and the post op period to date has gone well. Cookie is now at home with what will now be his forever home as he has won a huge place in the hearts of his foster family. He still has a way to go to be completely healed - that is being fully mobile and to ensure no risk of any infection post surgery. But Cookie is a little fighter and just loves life and his human family loads.

Cookie Has Had Surgery

Cookie was reviewed by the specialist last week, x-rays taken under sedation and plan made based on the x-ray results. These showed the leg to be broken just below the hip joint - not dislocated. Based on that, surgery was scheduled for Monday 20 May. This has now happened and it went well. Cookie will need specialist in house vet care for a week or more to monitor progress and watch for complications like infection.

The other big news is Cookie is a BOY!! Yes we know we said a girl but it can be easy to get wrong at an early age.
