    How cute is Goli now?

    He's safe, pain free, happy & healthy with beautiful clean, plush fur, all thanks to your donations and support.

    He is still mostly an outside cat but sometimes he will tolerate me bringing him inside for a little social time. He loves being brushed & enjoys the attention but as soon as I get on with chores, he takes himself back outside. (Although he does struggle to squeeze through the internal cat door which is quite amusing to watch - think Garfield 🤣). So far, he hasn't voluntarily come inside but time & patience might get him there.

    My cats are still in the phase of avoid & ignore There hasn't been any overt agression - positive sign. Goli just wants to eat, sleep & snuggle.

  • A final thank you from Goliath.

    A final thank you to all who contributed. Goli has had his surgery & is recovering well. He loves being brushed & has started self grooming again, so he is looking (& smelling) much better. Still a way to go in his rehab but he is well on the way to a happy, healthy life. Thank you all.

  • Great news for Goliath!

    This is just an update to thank you all for the shares and donations.

    Northlands Animal Care Hospital has kindly agreed to do the surgery based on the funds raised. Goliath is booked in to have his dental surgery this Friday. There will probably be a month or so of aftercare & then he will be looking for his forever home.

    Once again, thank you all for your support. We are both very grateful. You saved a life! The page will remain open until 26/07. Any surplus funds raised will be used for aftercare costs and to reimburse Cat Rescue Christchurch for their contribution in neutering, vaccinating & microchipping Goli.

      I am so pleased for this guy. He deserves to live like a king. My fingers and toes are crossed he finds his purrfect forever home!
