Our community pantry in Cannons Creek is sourcing and delivering kai all over Wellington to people who can’t get the food they need.
Wellington
We all want to ‘show up’ for each other – even while staying away to keep people safe. The team at Wesley Community Action have sprung into action to turn our whole work on its head, almost overnight. Our team is flat out on the phone, connecting with whanau and ‘showing up.'
Our community pantry in Cannons Creek has ramped up and is now sourcing kai, packing it up and delivering all over Wellington each week, to people who can’t get the food they need. That smile through the window or over the fence as we drop a parcel off on the doorstep is worth a lot.
We know so many of you are itching to help. It’s so hard to not be able to show up, ‘kanohi ki te kanohi’, face to face in a lockdown. But you can be a part of this, the virtual safe way. One way to do this is supporting our mahi through donating to Wesley Community Action so we can continue this work.
Wesley offers opportunities for people who may be finding it tough to create something better for themselves and their whanau. We believe in the power of the Community, are motivated by Compassion, and seek transformative Change.
These funds will support our Wesley team to support whānau and communities to overcome this lockdown challenge.
Thanks for your support 27 April 2020
